About InsureGrades
InsureGrades is a directory of licensed insurance agents built from state public license records, where verified agents are checked against the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and rated by their clients.
What InsureGrades is
InsureGrades is a public directory of insurance agents. Every listing starts from a state insurance department's public license file, so the name, license status and lines of authority on a profile are the regulator's own record, not a self-description. Agents can claim their listing; a claimed profile is checked against the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) before it earns the Verified badge, and consumers can rate any agent they have worked with.
Consumers use the site free of charge to find, compare and rate agents. Agents pay a monthly subscription to be verified, to display the verified badge and to receive quote requests. Verification is never included in a listing for free and is never sold without the check being run.
Who operates it
InsureGrades is operated by Insure Grades LLC, a United States company. The site has been building its directory since 2026, starting with Florida's public license file, and adds states as each regulator's public records are imported. Company updates are published on LinkedIn.
What it does not do
- It does not sell insurance, recommend policies or give financial advice.
- It is not a consumer reporting agency; its data must not be used for employment, tenant, credit or insurance-eligibility screening.
- It does not publish an agent's phone number, email or website from public records until the agent claims the profile.
- It does not let agents pay to remove a rating or to appear verified without the NIPR check.
